This tongue-in-cheek kit helps non-Jews learn enough about Jewish culture to be able to blend in at a Jewish event.
The rigid-construction packaging houses a kippah (with instructions on how to wear it), tattoo cover-up, a deck of flashcards on Jewish holidays and customs, and a small flask hidden in the box’s false bottom. The typography and text throughout the project is playful and sarcastic—reflecting the style of humor frequently found among Jewish families.
The logo features custom lettering inspired by ancient Hebrew calligraphy.
The first things the viewer will see after opening the box are the lid, with general information on it, and a flat insert defining the term “chutzpah.”
Once the insert is lifted, the viewer is presented with a kippah (along with instructions on how and when to wear it), a deck of flashcards, and tattoo cover-up in various skin tones.
There is a flask hidden in the false bottom under the first level. The band wrapped around it is etched with “L’Chaim!”
